About the Taster
This hour-long free violin taster will give you an idea of whether the violin is really for you or introduce you to a teacher who can take you further with the instrument. Violin tutor Paul Jeszke uses the Eta Cohen method, focusing on understanding of the principles of technique to help the learner progress quickly and naturally. In the taster you’ll learn how to hold the instrument and some basic techniques of playing. By the end of a few classes, you’ll be playing some simple melodies all by yourself.

What should I bring?
Learners must have their own instrument for the taster. If you don’t want to invest before you know the violin is for you, you can hire instruments easily. A pen and paper for making notes would help too.

Times Available
