About the Taster
Paul Ronan Photography offers a fun and effective way of learning to use your digital camera. He believes that the best way of learning is to take the pictures and learn from the experience so although the course does have some formal learning the majority of the course is hands on. The beginners’ course covers:
- An overview of the anatomy of the digital camera.
- The different options available on your camera.
- Understanding Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO.
- Understanding depth of Field/White Balance and their uses.
- How to frame and compose a great photograph.
- Different lenses available and their uses (they have a variety of lenses that you can try).
By the end of the day, you'll have taken a variety of pictures that show the following techniques:
How to freeze and blur motion.
How to achieve a narrow and wide Depth of Field.
How to compose a great photograph.
How to shoot in low light situations.
How to adjust the white balance for different situations.
What’s great about it?
A great hands-on way to learn the basics of photography in a relaxed atmosphere and in a class of just five people. Plus you don’t even need your own camera.
Times Available
The courses are run from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday and during the week currently three courses per month depending on booking.
