About the Taster
This three-hour painting class at Sunny Art Studio is an excellent introduction to anyone thinking about picking up a brush and palette. For your class, you can choose between oil, acrylic or watercolour painting. The class will start with a basic overview of the painting medium you choose: media and materials, the selection and development of subject matter, and the use of tone, colour, lines, proportion, scale and composition. After your first class, your instructor will have helped you develop confidence in the handling of painting materials and your own creativity.

Classes start with a lecture from the instructor and a practical demonstration. Then everybody will proceed to work individually while getting individual attention from the instructor. There's also a short intermission with free tea, coffee and biscuits. Class size is 10 students maximum to ensure everyone gets personal instruction. All levels are welcome!

What to Bring
They have drawing packs available to purchase (these materials will be yours to keep) for £6.50 at the studio. They have watercolour painting materials available on loan (you can just keep your finished painting) for £6. Alternatively, you will have to bring your own drawing or painting materials as listed on the website.

Sunny Art Studio

Sunny Art Studio provides small art classes with a maximum of 10 students to ensure that you get optimum individual attention and reach your artistic goals as quickly as possible. They teach drawing and painting in all mediums, and all subjects: still-life, landscape, lifedrawing etc. They cater to everyone in their art classes, from beginner to the advanced student. They welcome students who wish to expand their portfolio to apply to art college, people who wish to pursue art as a career, people who wish to have art as a hobby, and anybody that is interested in improving their art skills for their own personal reasons.

Sunny Art Studio was founded by Yinjie Sun, an experienced artist who graduated in Fine Art from both the China Academy of Art and Central Saint Martins College of Art. Yinjie exhibits extensively both throughout the UK and internationally; his work has been displayed in Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Royal College of Art, Ourense Museum in Spain, Today Art Museum Beijing, the Sunshine International Art Museum in China, and his work has appeared in numerous publications. As well as being a very successful solo artist, he is also an experienced and gifted teacher who is committed to helping his students attain their creative goals.
