For all of the live tasters as well as some additional categories, we've created a guide written by an expert to give you all the information you need to work out if it's something that you might like. Each guide contains information on what it's about as well as key links to experts in the field and our recommended information sources.

Daily emails offering all sorts of stuff that you don't want get a little bit annoying after a while. Our Taster Alert system will tell you just when we've got a taster in that you want to try based on your Wishlist selections.

Some of our tasters are 100% free. These tasters are pretty special, and we reward your involvement with the site with free Taster Tokens. We give you one free Taster Token for every 100 points you earn on the site through doing things like telling your friends about the taster, making a discovery, buying a taster, creating a Wishlist or completing your profile. Taster Bundles are designed to give you the option of trying something more than once if you feel that you need more than one class or session to really get a feel for what something is like. Or, if you've tried a taster and aren't 100% convinced, a Taster Bundle is a great way to keep going with the activity without paying full price. Typically Taster Bundles are reduced by at least 40%!

After you taster something you'll have the opportunity to earn points and inspire others in the Lab by leaving a review of your experience of the category (i.e what's kitesurfing actually like to try?) as well as the particular merchant (i.e Is Dangerous Dave's Kite Surfing School as good as it says?). All review content will be voted on by other Tasters in the Lab with a 'thumbs up' if it's really useful and informative or a 'thumbs down' if they didn't find it very helpful. If you get 25 thumbs up for your review, we'll make you an expert for that category.

Well, we're a bit biased obviously, but is there a better gift than helping someone discover what they love? You can buy a gift pass for the site to allow people to try the things they want or you can gift individual tasters. So if you've got a friend that's always talking about their ambition to, let's say getting better at singing, then you can get the taster as a great gift. But don't worry, your gift certificate won't show that you got the taster for free or at a whopping discount - so you can be thoughtful and generous!

If you taster something and discover something that you love, you can show this taster as a new discovery. For each discovery we'll reward you with TasterLab stickers to show off on your profile to let friends and other tasterers know what you like doing. Of course, if you want to keep something a secret (like that Pole Dancing taster you did!) then that's ok too as you hide your profile from public view.

Your discoveries, the things you're passionate about, are a great means to meet other like minded people. Unless you mark your profile as private, other Tasterers will be able to see what you're currently Tastering and what you're into. You can connect with others with similar interests by inviting them as a friend.
