Our condensed selection of cool things to do in London this week:

1. Contemporary Glass by Chihuly at Halcyon Gallery - Dale Chihuly is known worldwide as the guy making contemporary works in glass right now. There’s not a whole lot more to say about his intricate glass sculpture than it’s just… really, really cool. (See above. Right?) Some of his multi-colored glass creations hang like chandeliers, one piece appears to burst forth from a boat, some of it just beautifully sits, but all of it is pretty incredible to see. For a little more info on the artist - check out this BBC interview.

2. Real Food Market at the Southbank Centre - I was thinking of… everyone… when I decided to include this event as I know we all love food. The market runs from this Friday to Sunday and is the perfect place to hit up for fresh produce and all kinds of delicious prepared treats. Maybe you’ll get lucky, and there will be samples - the best part of food shopping.

3. St. Patrick’s Day Parade - This one is a given - grab your greenest attire and head out to Trafalgar Square for the biggest St. Patty’s Day celebration in London. Colorful floats, marching bands, Irish music and dancing - this fest will definitely have it all. Tip: Bring a bottle of green food coloring to make every beverage a green St. Patty’s Day beverage. So festive!

4. The Affordable Art Fair - Starting this Thursday the 15th - head out to Battersea Park where 120 galleries will exhibit budget friendly works from some amazing contemporary artists. Free to look and cheap to buy - this is the perfect place to start if you’re considering working on a personal collection or even if you just want some cool stuff to browse this weekend.
